Our client is looking for a Regional Warranty Engineer to provide an after sales support service
The warranty engineer would be required to attend, diagnose, repair or carryout maintenance on reported warranty faults received from customers, providing mechanical and electrical repairs on site as necessary. The engineer will need to attend and carryout diagnostics checks on electric vehicles in accordance with advice and instruction provided by electrical engineers.
As well as carrying out mechanical repairs and the engineer would be required to liaise with suppliers and customers on technical advise.
The role will involve travelling throughout the UK and there may be the occasional need to travel to Europe The role may require the need for overnight stays. Initial product training familiarization may require a two / three week period abroad or at our head office in Glasgow. You would develop a full understanding of Electric Vehicle product technology and manufacturing process (after training).
The main daily tasks for the required Regional Warranty Engineer would be:
Coordinating & prioritizing warranty repairs
~ Reporting details of repairs and follow up repairs waiting on parts
~ Placing orders for parts
~ Maintaining stock of parts and return of faulty parts for replacement
~ Maintenance of company vehicle in line with company policy
~ Security and maintenance of all equipment supplied, including parts and computer equipment
